Mid-Atlantic managed fiber connectivity and cloud communications service provider Telegia Communications recently relocated their corporate offices to a fiber rich technology park in Frederick, MD. Telecom and network upgrades were major motivators behind the move.
At the new site, Telegia gained additional fiber connectivity between their data centers in Ashburn, VA and Hagerstown, MD and acquired redundant fiber optic connections into their fixed network in Washington and Fredrick counties. The technological upgrades will allow Telegia to expand into new counties and cities.
“This move and the upgrades mark the first step in Telegia’s commitment to expansion to its Mid-Atlantic hybrid fiber optic/fixed wireless network footprint, enabling “on net” delivery of its broad suite of IP-enabled communication, collaboration and productivity services to a growing base of customers and specific verticals in the region,” Telegia’s CEO T. Wesley Poss said in a press release.
